My name is Álvaro del Pino Gómez. I am an Assistant Professor based in Universiteit Utrecht, The Netherlands. I am part of the Utrecht Geometry Centre (roughly, the pure math section of our department). I enjoy using techniques from Differential Topology to study geometric structures.

I have been in Utrecht for a while now: Until September 2018 I held a position as a postdoctoral researcher within the NWO Vici project of Marius Crainic. In Fall 2018 I was awarded an NWO Veni fellowship of my own. Before coming to the Netherlands I was part of ICMAT (Madrid, Spain). I earned my PhD there, under the supervision of Francisco Presas, in June 2017.
